Bajaj Auto launches the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with performance upgrades, sintered brakes, and Sport Shift quick shifter.

Bajaj Auto has officially lifted the covers off the updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, priced at Rs1.92 lakh (ex-showroom). A bold step forward in the flagship Pulsar lineup, the 2025 iteration promises performance enhancements and mechanical upgrades that could redefine its standing in the sub-400cc streetfighter segment.

Engine & Performance

Bajaj keeps the reliable 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine from older KTM 390 Duke motorcycles. This engine has been tuned to deliver more power. It now produces 42.4 bhp at 9,000 rpm, up from 39.4 bhp. The bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds.

Its top speed is 157 kmph. The engine’s redline hits 10,700 rpm in Sport Mode. One of the key features is the Sport Shift system. This is a software quickshifter that works only in Sport Mode. It allows smooth gear shifts, perfect for an energetic ride.

Mechanical Upgrades & Feature

Safety has improved noticeably. Sintered brake pads now offer better stopping power. The new Apollo Alpha H1 radial tires replace the older MRF units, providing better grip. Bajaj claims the braking distance has been reduced by 7%. The suspension setup stays the same, with 43 mm upside-down forks and a rear monoshock, keeping the ride balanced.

It includes a full-color LCD display with Bluetooth connections. Riders can switch traction control on or off easily. There are four riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-Road. The bike also has dual-channel ABS for safer stopping.
