2025 Citroën C5 Aircross Adds Mild Hybrid, Strong Hybrid, and All-Electric Powertrains
Citroen has just introduced its top-tier model, the new C5 Aircross SUV, featuring hybrid and all-electric choices. This new model is an advancement in Citroen’s design, drawing from the Oli concept and putting a strong emphasis on ensuring passenger comfort.

A Design Revolution: Inspired by the Citroen Oli Concept
The 2025 Citroen C5 Aircross retains the sleek, futuristic styling presented in its concept form. With sharp lines and smooth surfaces blending harmoniously, the SUV exhibits elegance and boldness. Some important design features to note are Sleek headlamps with eye-catching three-piece C-shaped LED DRLs, two-tone bumpers, and defined wheel arches.
Flower-like 20-inch alloy wheels and strong shoulder lines. Prominent tail-lamps with a remarkable 3D appearance. Additionally, the SUV’s increased length (up by 150mm) and longer wheelbase (60mm more) enhance its rear legroom, reinforcing its reputation for comfort.

Comfort-Focused Interiors
The interiors of the 2025 C5 Aircross are nothing short of revolutionary, drawing inspiration from traditional living room aesthetics. One of the standout features is the large touchscreen that’s tall rather than wide. It lets you program widgets to suit your needs.

2025 Citroen C5 Aircross Powertrain Options
1. In a mild hybrid, you get a combination of a 1.2-liter, 134hp three-cylinder petrol engine, a 12hp electric motor, and a small 0.9kWh battery. This setup gives you a nice blend of power and efficiency.
2. For a plug-in hybrid, you have a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine matched with a 125hp electric motor. This combo delivers a total of 195hp and an electric range of 85km, giving you the best of both worlds.
3. If you opt for an all-electric version, you have two choices. One offers a range of 520km, while the other goes up to 680km (WLTP cycle). These versions are powered by 73kWh and 97kWh batteries respectively, giving you plenty of options to suit your needs.

Deliveries for the new 2025 Citroen C5 Aircross are expected to begin in Europe during the second half of 2025. While the predecessor continues to sell in India as a diesel-powered CKD model, the launch details for the new generation SUV in India remain uncertain.
