The new Multistrada V2 sheds roughly 18 kg versus the outgoing model thanks to a revised aluminium monocoque frame and a lighter engine package. The slimmer rear section and a redesigned silencer sharpen the bike’s profile, while headlight and DRL graphics borrow cues from Ducati’s Panigale and the larger Multistrada V4, giving the front end a more aggressive stance

Engine and performance

Under the fairing sits an 890 cc, 90° V-twin with Intelligent Variable Timing (IVT). Ducati rates the motor at 115 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 92 Nm at 8,250 rpm, and says tractability across the rev range has improved. Service intervals are notably extended, with valve checks pushed out to 45,000 km, which will interest buyers tracking running costs in India’s premium bike segment.

Electronics and rideability

The Multistrada V2 lineup comes loaded with a 6-axis IMU managing cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Wheelie Control and Engine Brake Control. Five riding modes — Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro and Wet — let riders tailor power delivery and intervention. The V2 S steps up with semi-active Skyhook suspension and a Minimum Preload function that eases low-speed handling and parking.

Ducati has revised ergonomics to lower seat height and improve low-speed manoeuvrability. Practical touring kit remains available, with factory panniers, crash bars, centre stand and optional spoked wheels for off-road use. The standard equipment list also includes a 5-inch TFT display, cruise control, USB charging and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0.
