New 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 – Now OBD-2B Compliant, Same Ninja 300 Engine.

The Indian motorcycle market sees the return of the 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300. This adventure bike blends versatility with easy daily use. It is priced at Rs 3.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike targets the increasing need for light adventure bikes in India. Kawasaki has made this model more affordable than its previous price of Rs 4.60 lakh.

Visually, the Versys-X 300 maintains its familiar design but introduces OBD-2B Compliant Engine, fresh graphics and a new color scheme, giving the motorcycle an updated appearance. Despite previous speculations of local assembly, this model arrives in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU).

Versys-X 300 Engine and Performance

The Versys-X 300 derives its power from a 296cc, parallel-twin engine borrowed from the Ninja 300. Tuned for 38.5 bhp at 11,500 rpm and 26.1 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm, the motorcycle features a 6-speed gearbox equipped with a slipper clutch—enhancing smooth gear transitions, especially for adventure riders.

Kawasaki keeps the same overall design but adds a new color option: Pearl Robotic White. It also offers two new dual-tone schemes. One combines Metallic Ocean Blue with Pearl Robotic White. The other pairs Candy Lime Green with Metallic Flat Spark Black.

The bike comes with a 17-litre fuel tank that supports extended rides without frequent refueling. It features spoke wheels, with a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear, fitted with tube-type tires. These tires help maintain stability and control, especially on rough roads.

The Kawasaki Versys-X 300 features a 41mm telescopic front fork with 130mm of travel. Its rear suspension uses a monoshock with 148mm of movement. The bike has a ground clearance of 180mm and a seat height of 815mm, making it suitable for many riders.

The adventure touring bike offers a straightforward but useful list of features. It includes a combined analogue and digital instrument panel that shows the gear position. For better stopping power, it comes with dual-channel ABS, which improves braking safety.
