Mercedes-AMG G 63 Now Equipped with Mild-Hybrid and Updated MBUX
Mercedes-Benz has introduced the latest AMG G 63 SUV in India. It comes with a price tag of Rs 3.60 crore (ex-showroom). This facelift version of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 SUV has new features like a mild-hybrid powertrain and subtle design enhancements compared to the older model. Mercedes-Benz India mentioned that the initial batch of more than 120 units of the 2025 AMG G 63 for India has already been sold. You can now book the second batch of this high-performance SUV, which is expected to reach India in Q3 2025.

2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Exterior, Interior and Features
The SUV has some small design updates. The front bumper now has vertical slats, the radiator grille has a dark chrome finish, and the A-pillars are slightly rounded. Also, they added a new lip to the windscreen. These changes help with aerodynamics and make the car quieter. They took inspiration from the electric version while making these updates. You can get 22-inch alloy wheels and a carbon fiber spare wheel cover as extra options for this vehicle.

The new G-Class has been significantly enhanced from within. The AMG G 63 now features the same MBUX infotainment system. This upgrade includes dual 12.3-inch screens for the driver’s display and instrumentation. For the first time, the infotainment system is touch-enabled, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. Additionally, it boasts an impressive 18-speaker, 760 W Burmester 3D sound system, USB Type-C charging ports, customizable ambient lighting, and 360-degree cameras.
Now, the G-Class model introduces keyless entry for the first time. Plus, it features a fresh three-spoke AMG performance steering wheel and updated switchgear on the center console. The enhanced AMG G 63 offers an impressive selection of 31 distinctive MANUFAKTUR upholstery choices and 29 MANUFAKTUR paint options. You can customize your car with various wheel designs and more by using Mercedes’s Manufacture customization program to suit your preferences.

2025 Mercedes-AMG G 63 Powertrain
The AMG G 63 has been upgraded with 48V mild-hybrid technology in its M177 3,982cc V8 engine. Although it still delivers 585hp and 850Nm of torque, the new mild-hybrid system gives it an extra 22hp kick. The vehicle retains its 9-speed DCT automatic gearbox along with paddle shifters for a smoother ride. Mercedes claims a 0-100 kmph time of just 4.3 seconds while top speed is still electronically limited to 240 kmph.
