2025 Suzuki GSX-8R Model Now OBD-2B Compliant Engine with No Mechanical Updates.
Suzuki Motorcycle India has officially launched the 2025 Suzuki GSX-8R with an OBD-2B compliant engine, priced at Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom). This latest addition to Suzuki’s lineup aims to balance performance with environmental responsibility, making it an exciting choice for enthusiasts.

Design and Features
The GSX-8R adopts Suzuki’s bold design style, with a stance that leans forward and improved aerodynamics. It features vertically stacked hexagonal LED headlights, a sleek windscreen, and forged aluminium handlebars for better handling and a sportier feel. The bike comes in three striking colors: Metallic Triton Blue, Metallic Matte Sword Silver, and Metallic Matte Black No.2.

The GSX-8R comes with light aluminium wheels and Dunlop RoadSport 2 radial tyres for better traction. The front has SHOWA SFF-BP inverted forks, which help improve handling. In the back, there’s a link-type mono-shock with a preload adjuster for a smoother ride. To stop quickly, the bike uses dual radial-mounted calipers with four pistons at the front and 310mm discs, offering strong and reliable braking power.

2025 Suzuki GSX-8R: Engine and Performance
The 2025 GSX-8R features a 776cc parallel-twin engine with DOHC and four valves per cylinder. It uses a 270-degree crankshaft, giving it a strong torque curve that makes city riding easier. The engine also produces a V-twin-style exhaust sound. Suzuki’s Cross Balancer system helps reduce engine vibrations, making long rides more comfortable.

Suzuki’s GSX-8R is equipped with its Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which adds several helpful electronic aids for riders. The Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) lets riders choose between different engine power settings. The Suzuki Traction Control System (STCS) helps keep the bike stable by controlling wheel slip.
A Bi-Directional Quick Shifter allows smooth gear changes without needing the clutch. The Ride-by-Wire Throttle offers more consistent acceleration. The Suzuki Easy Start System starts the bike with just the push of a button. Low RPM Assist stops the engine from stalling when riding slowly. These features work together to make riding safer and easier.
