For 2026, Audi has revealed its latest Q5 plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant, boasting enhanced battery capacity and an extended electric range. With growing consumer interest in sustainable luxury vehicles, the Q5 PHEV is poised to compete with BMW and Mercedes-Benz’s latest offerings.

2026 Audi Q5 PHEV: Powertrain and Performance
The 2026 Audi Q5 PHEV comes in two distinct power levels—both powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor. The entry-level variant delivers 295 horsepower, while the high-performance model produces 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, matching Audi’s sporty SQ5.
One of the biggest upgrades is the larger battery pack, which boasts a 25.9-kWh total capacity, offering up to 62 miles of electric-only driving range on the WLTP cycle—a 45% improvement over its predecessor. The battery’s cell-to-pack architecture enhances efficiency, allowing faster charging and optimized energy storage, with a Level 2 charge rate reaching 11 kW instead of 7.4 kW.

Design & Features
Audi’s new PHEV models feature an advanced regenerative braking system, recovering up to 88 kW of power—enough to cover 90% of braking needs. This enhances overall energy efficiency while maintaining seamless braking performance.
While cargo space takes a slight hit, the Q5 e-hybrid still offers 15.5 cubic feet, slightly less than the non-hybrid version. The Sportback variant holds 15.3 cubic feet, maintaining practicality with a stylish coupe-like design.

The Audi Q5 e-Hybrid Quattro offers more than just great performance and eco-friendliness. It includes luxury features that make driving more comfortable. The S sports suspension, LED headlights, and Audi MMI Plus infotainment system work together for a smooth ride.
The high-end models with the S line package add sporty leather seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and adjustable second-row seats.The interior welcomes premium touches such as a cooled wireless phone charging tray, upgraded USB-C ports delivering up to 100 watts, and Audi’s S sport suspension as standard.

Pricing and Market Availability
Pricing in Germany starts at €63,400 (Rs 62 Lakhs) for the SUV. The Sportback model begins at €65,900 ($75,300). The more powerful version costs an extra €8,400 (Rs 82 Lakhs). While it’s not yet confirmed for the India, Audi is expected to sell the PHEV here. It will likely replace the older model. The 2026 Audi Q5 e-hybrid is just one of ten plug-in hybrid models Audi plans to launch this year, marking a strategic shift toward electrification.
