2026 Kawasaki Z1100 Launched in India at Rs 12.79 lakh

Kawasaki India launches the 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 in India at Rs 12.79 lakh — a 1,099cc supernaked with 136hp, IMU rider aids and a 5-inch TFT.

Kawasaki has quietly introduced the 2026 Z1100 to the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as Kawasaki’s new flagship naturally aspirated supernaked, the Z1100 arrives less than two months after its global debut and immediately stakes a competitive claim by undercutting the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP on price.

What’s new and notable

At the heart of the 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 is a 1,099cc liquid-cooled inline-four that produces 136hp at 9,000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 7,600rpm, carried over from the Ninja 1100SX. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS) for seamless up- and down-shifts.

Kawasaki has specified fully adjustable Showa suspension at both ends and Tokico braking hardware, while the bike rolls on Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres sized 120/70-ZR17 up front and 190/50-ZR17 at the rear. The Z1100 is offered in a single Metallic Gray finish in India, and the SE variant seen abroad is not part of the Indian line-up for now.

Electronics are a major selling point. A compact 5-inch colour TFT houses the instrument cluster and works with a five-axis IMU that enables cornering ABS, three traction-control levels, two power modes and cruise control. Kawasaki has kept weight in check for India: the 2026 Kawasaki Z1100 carries the same 221kg kerb weight as the international model.
