Powertrain & Performance
The 2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport keeps its 2.0-litre Ingenium mild-hybrid engines. These engines come in both petrol and diesel options. The petrol version delivers 249 horsepower and 365 Nm of torque. The diesel model offers 204 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. India will not get the plug-in hybrid version, but global markets will. Outside India, there is a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 15kWh battery. This setup produces up to 309 horsepower.
The 2026 Land Rover Discovery Sport is expected to be available in India soon, with pricing anticipated to be in the premium SUV range, competing against models like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
