Skoda Kylaq Gets New Classic+ and Prestige+ Variants

Skoda India expands the Skoda Kylaq range with new Classic+ and Prestige+ trims, added features and updated pricing for 2026.

Skoda India has broadened the Kylaq compact SUV’s appeal by introducing two new variants — Classic+ and Prestige+. The updated lineup now consists of six core trims, up from the previous four, giving shoppers more flexibility when choosing a Skoda Kylaq. With pricing starting from Rs 7.59 lakh for the base Classic and topping out at Rs 12.99 lakh for the new Prestige+ (all prices ex-showroom, India), the range is more competitive and feature-packed than before.

At the entry end, the all-new Classic+ bridges the gap between the basic Classic and higher trims. Unlike the entry-level Classic — which is only offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox — the Classic+ is available with both manual and automatic transmissions for the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. This variant also adds valuable features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, an electric sunroof, auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, automatic wipers, cruise control and steering-mounted controls, lifting its appeal without a steep price hike.

Moves up the range, also see ripples. The mid-spec Signature and Signature+ trims have gained features previously exclusive to the top-end model. Buyers now get a sunroof, rear wiper, auto wipers and paddle shifters on automatic variants, enhancing convenience and refinement at a more accessible price point. Prices for the Signature family have edged up slightly to reflect these additions.

Skoda’s strategy at the top of the range has been to refine rather than just re-price. The Prestige+ badge replaces the earlier Prestige as the most feature-loaded Kylaq variant. While detailed specifications are yet to be fully disclosed by the maker, this top-trim is positioned above the outgoing Prestige and arrives with an upgraded equipment list to justify its new status. Meanwhile, the existing Prestige trim gets modest adjustments — such as the removal of powered 6-way seats — which slightly lowers its cost and differentiates it from the Prestige+.

The Kylaq continues with its sole powertrain: a 1.0-litre 115hp turbo-petrol engine paired with either a 6-speed manual or torque-converter automatic gearbox. This setup delivers a balanced mix of performance and efficiency, making it well-suited for both city commuting and highway cruising.
