Acura donates 75 Electric ZDX SUV vehicles and $1 million to The Nature Conservancy, advancing fleet electrification and critical U.S. conservation efforts.
In a landmark move to promote cleaner mobility and environmental stewardship, Acura has announced the donation of 75 all-electric ZDX performance SUVs to The Nature Conservancy (TNC), one of the most influential nonprofit environmental organizations in the world. This initiative not only strengthens Acura’s commitment to eco-conscious innovation but also enhances TNC’s ability to pursue impactful conservation projects across the United States.

Driving Change: A Historic Electric Vehicle Donation
As one of the best-selling premium EVs in the U.S. for 2025, the Acura ZDX is known for its dynamic performance and a 313-mile EPA-rated driving range. The donated fleet will be distributed via Acura dealerships nationwide, empowering local TNC field teams to conduct conservation research, collaborate with rural communities, and access remote ecological sites with lower carbon emissions.
This strategic donation also marks Acura’s largest-ever vehicle contribution, setting a benchmark for corporate environmental responsibility.

$1 Million Boost for Charging and Operations
Alongside the vehicle donation, the Honda family of companies, which includes Acura, is contributing an additional $1 million. These funds are earmarked for: Charging infrastructure setup across the fleet network, Operational support for the vehicles, Acceleration of TNC’s clean fleet transition goals. This financial backing ensures the longevity and success of the initiative while reinforcing Honda’s commitment to sustainability.

A Partnership Rooted in Environmental Values
The alliance between Honda and TNC stretches back over 30 years, with significant milestones including:
- The 2023 donation of $625,000 to support programs in 10 states
- The 2020 land donation of 90 acres to safeguard Ohio’s Big Darby Creek watershed
- Ongoing support for biodiversity hotspots in Alabama, California, and Indiana
Together, these efforts demonstrate a shared vision: preserving ecosystems while enabling sustainable mobility.
