Kia has previewed the next-gen New Kia Seltos SUV with a radical redesign, Star Map LED lighting and new trims ahead of its world premiere on December 10.
Kia has released the first official teaser images of the all-new Kia Seltos, confirming that its popular global SUV is about to enter its second generation with a completely fresh design and a more premium attitude. Six years after the original Seltos went on sale in 2019, the new model is billed as a ground-up redesign rather than a mild facelift, aimed at strengthening Kia’s position in the fast-growing compact SUV segment worldwide.

The teaser shots reveal an SUV that leans heavily into Kia’s latest design language while still retaining the upright, confident stance that made the Seltos such a strong seller. The brand says the new Seltos blends the rugged character of traditional ICE SUVs with the smoother, more aerodynamic look seen on its new-age EVs. The result is a sharper, cleaner silhouette that looks more futuristic without losing its SUV presence.

At the front, the next-gen Kia Seltos showcases the brand’s signature Star Map LED daytime running lights, which stretch across the fascia to create a wider visual stance. The headlamp and grille treatment appears more technical and intricate, giving the SUV a high-tech face that ties in with Kia’s recent electric models. At the rear, matching horizontal and vertical lamp graphics mirror the Star Map theme, creating a cohesive light signature and a more planted, stable look from every angle.

Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy is clearly on display in the way muscular proportions and bold cladding are combined with clean surfacing. Flush-type door handles, a feature usually seen on more expensive EVs and luxury SUVs, make their way to the new Seltos as well. Apart from improving aerodynamic efficiency, they add a touch of sophistication and underline Kia’s intention to push the model upmarket in terms of design and perceived quality.

The company has also confirmed that the all-new Kia Seltos will be offered with a wider range of exterior colour options and distinctive trims such as X-Line and GT-Line. These variants will cater to buyers who want a more rugged, outdoorsy appearance or a sportier, performance-inspired look, giving customers more room to personalise their SUV to match their lifestyle.
