Aprilia RS 457 Wins Prestigious Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2025 Award
The Aprilia RS 457 has been named Indian Motorcycle of the Year for 2025, achieving a notable milestone in the motorcycle industry. This award highlights the bike’s outstanding performance, innovative design, and overall value.
The competition was intense, with ten motorcycles competing across different categories such as modern-classic, sports, street naked, and commuter bikes. Five of these contenders were from the 400-500cc range, reflecting the increasing interest in this segment within the Indian market. The motorcycles in the running included the Aprilia RS 457, Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04, Bajaj Pulsar N125, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, BSA Gold Star 650, Hero Mavrick 440, Hero Xtreme 125R, Royal Enfield Bear 650, Royal Enfield Guerilla 450, and Triumph Speed T4.

The 2025 Aprilia RS 457 will be priced at Rs 4.20 lakhs (ex-showroom). It comes in two versions with three color options: Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, and Opalescent Light. This bike is equipped with advanced technology like a ride-by-wire throttle which offers three-level traction control, ABS, and three ride modes: Sport, Road, and Rain. You can easily manage all these features using the 5-inch TFT display that has Bluetooth connectivity. This system lets you answer calls and switch music tracks without any hassle while you ride.
Aprilia RS 457: Engine
The Aprilia RS 457 is fueled by a 457 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine generating 46.7 bhp at 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slip-and-assist clutch and the option for a quick shifter. This bike is equipped with a 13-liter fuel tank.
