Aprilia India has taken a significant step in enhancing customer satisfaction by upgrading the standard warranty package for its RS 457 motorcycle. The brand now offers a complimentary one-year extension, increasing the original warranty period from three years or 36,000 kilometres to four years or 48,000 kilometres. This move reinforces the company’s commitment to quality and reliability.

Why the Warranty Extension Matters?
The decision to extend the warranty comes in the wake of reported engine-related issues experienced by certain Aprilia RS 457 owners. Aprilia India promptly addressed the concerns, attributing them to unauthorized aftermarket modifications and irregular servicing schedules. By extending the warranty, Aprilia aims to provide better support to riders and ensure peace of mind.
Owners of the RS 457 now have access to extra coverage options. This includes repair costs caused by manufacturing or assembly problems. It also covers the replacement of faulty parts with genuine components. Labor costs for repairs are included as well.

Aprilia RS 457: A Premium Sportbike Made in India
The RS 457 was launched in December 2023 and is a key model in Aprilia’s lineup. It is the first motorcycle built in India at the Piaggio Group’s factory in Baramati, Maharashtra. Priced at Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom), the RS 457 remains a high-end choice for Indian motorcycle buyers.
The Aprilia RS 457 is fueled by a 457 cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine generating 46.7 bhp at 9,400 rpm and 43.5 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slip-and-assist clutch and the option for a quick shifter. Aprilia RS 457: Design, Hardware and Features
The Aprilia RS 457 comes in two versions with three color options: Prismatic Dark, Racing Stripes, and Opalescent Light. This bike is equipped with advanced technology like a ride-by-wire throttle which offers three-level traction control, ABS, and three ride modes: Sport, Road, and Rain. You can easily manage all these features using the 5-inch TFT display that has Bluetooth connectivity. This system lets you answer calls and switch music tracks without any hassle while you ride.

This motorcycle features a sturdy twin-spar aluminum frame. The front suspension has preload-adjustable USD forks, while the rear has a preload-adjustable monoshock. For braking, it boasts a 320mm front disc with a 4-piston radial caliper. In the back, there’s a 220mm disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with 110-section front and 150-section rear TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tires. With a weight of 175kg.
