Aprilia SR 175, featuring a powerful 174cc engine, Bluetooth-enabled TFT display, and sporty RS 457-inspired color options.
Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Aprilia India has officially launched the Aprilia SR 175 in India, priced at Rs 1.26 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant replaces the popular SR 160 and steps up Aprilia game in the sporty scooter segment. Locally assembled at the Baramati plant, the SR 175 is poised to challenge segment leaders such as the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160.

Engine Specs
The SR 175 is equipped with a 174.7cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 13.08 bhp at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. In contrast, the outgoing SR 160 features a 160.03cc single-cylinder engine with 11.11 bhp and 13.44 Nm of torque. Both models utilize a CVT automatic transmission. These specifications highlight the SR 175 as the more powerful and torquey option, making it well-suited for both city commuting and more enthusiastic riding.

Aprilia SR 175: Design & Features
Although the SR 175 looks similar to its predecessor, it has notable upgrades in performance and technology. It features a 5.5-inch colored TFT instrument cluster borrowed from the RS 457. This new digital display connects via Bluetooth, allowing easy smartphone pairing through the Aprilia app. Riders can see call alerts, control music, and get notifications on the screen.
The motorcycle features a full-LED illumination setup, including twin LED headlamps. For convenience, it includes a USB charging port to keep your devices powered while commuting. Riders can personalize their bike with two color options: Matt Primatic Black and Glossy Tech White, both offering a sharp, modern look.

When it comes to the SR 160’s build and ride quality, Aprilia has opted to stick with its tried and tested hardware, even as the powertrain has evolved. The chassis and suspension system features telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. The scooter rides on 14-inch alloy wheels fitted with 120-section tyres. For braking, the SR 160 is equipped with a single-channel ABS at the front and a rear drum setup.
