Ather Rizta Set for Price Increase: Costs Rise by Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 in 2025
Ather Energy, known for its innovative electric scooters, has announced a price hike for its family-centric model, the Ather Rizta. This increase will take effect on January 1, 2025, and will see prices rise by Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 across its three variants.
The Ather Rizta electric scooter is available in three models: the base S model, priced at Rs 1.10 lakh, the mid-range Z 2.9 model, priced at Rs 1.27 lakh, and the top-of-the-line Z 3.7 model, priced at Rs 1.46 lakh. Additionally, an optional Pro Pack, costing Rs 13,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 20,000 for the S, Z 2.9, and Z 3.7 models, respectively, can be purchased to unlock most of the scooter’s advanced features.

The Ather Rizta S variant, equipped with a 2.7kWh battery, offers a claimed range of 123km. The Z 2.9kWh, as its name implies, utilizes a 2.9kWh battery to deliver a claimed range of 123km, and The Z 3.7kWh, powered by a 3.7kWh battery, boasts a claimed range of 159km.

The Ather Rizta shares many of its core components with Ather’s sporty 450 models, including the battery, motor, mainframe, and electronics. However, it introduces some new features aimed at enhancing practicality and family use. One notable feature is the Magic Twist regenerative braking system, which has been carried over from the flagship 450 Apex.

With this price hike, the gap between Ather’s practical EV and those from competitors like Bajaj, TVS, and Hero will widen. The Rizta is already positioned as a premium offering in the Indian electric scooter market, and this increase may further solidify its premium status.
As Ather continues to innovate and expand its product lineup, the Rizta remains a key player in their portfolio. The upcoming price hike reflects the company’s strategy to maintain its premium positioning while offering advanced features and technology.
