Bajaj Freedom 125 is the first bike in the world to run on CNG
Bajaj Auto has brought a groundbreaking change to the automotive industry by introducing the Bajaj CNG Bike Freedom 125. It’s the world’s first motorcycle powered by CNG. This innovative bike is a game-changer as it can smoothly switch between petrol and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), offering you the convenience of using either fuel.
This advancement has the potential to lower both fuel expenses and emissions, establishing a fresh benchmark within the motorcycle industry. While CNG-run cars have been around for more than ten years, this is the first instance of this technology being implemented in a motorcycle, setting a new standard not only in India but worldwide.

Bajaj CNG Bike Freedom 125 Feature
The Bajaj Freedom is priced at Rs 95,000. This bike comes in three versions: Drum, Drum LED (Rs 1.05 lakh), and Disc LED (Rs 1.10 lakh, excluding taxes). You can choose from seven color options, including dual-tone paints: Caribbean Blue, Pewter Grey/Black, Cyber White, Ebony Black/Grey, Racing Red, Cyber White, Pewter Grey/Yellow, and Ebony Black/Red. Bookings for the Bajaj Freedom are currently open at Bajaj dealerships and on their website.
The Bajaj Freedom comes with a 125 cc, single-cylinder engine of 9.4 bhp and 9.7 Nm of torque. The CNG tank is smartly positioned under the seat and The petrol and CNG refueling ports share a common flap. If you run Bajaj’s Freedom solely on CNG, you can go up to 102 kilometers per kilogram of CNG. By using CNG, you can cut your daily running expenses by half, reduce CO2 emissions by 26 percent, and save up to Rs 75,000 on fuel costs over 5 years compared to a regular 125 cc motorcycle that runs on petrol only.
The motorcycle comes with 10-spoke alloy wheels, a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake. Bajaj says that the Freedom 125 CNG bike has the longest seat in its category, measuring 785mm. Additional standout features are its stylish design, strong trellis frame, and a linked monoshock for a smooth ride. Furthermore, the top-tier model includes a modern negative LCD display that links up with Bluetooth for added convenience.
