Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Gets a Price Cut of Up to Rs 10,000

Bajaj has made the Freedom 125 CNG bike more affordable by slashing prices from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.

Bajaj Auto India recently updated the prices of its unique CNG motorcycle, the Freedom 125. When it was first introduced in July 2024, the starting price in Delhi was Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). Now, there have been some price adjustments. The entry-level model is now Rs 5,000 cheaper, while the mid-range version is available for Rs 10,000 less.

The latest pricing for the Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG models is out. The base variant with drum brakes now costs Rs 89,997. If you opt for the mid-spec variant with drum brakes and LED lights, you will need to pay Rs 95,002. The top-of-the-line variant, which features a disc brake and LED lights, still maintains its price at 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Despite the price adjustment, the equipment included in each variant remains the same.

The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike comes with a 125 cc, single-cylinder engine of 9.4 bhp and 9.7 Nm of torque. The CNG tank is smartly positioned under the seat and The petrol and CNG refueling ports share a common flap. If you run Bajaj’s Freedom solely on CNG, you can go up to 102 kilometers per kilogram of CNG. By using CNG, you can cut your daily running expenses by half, reduce CO2 emissions by 26 percent, and save up to Rs 75,000 on fuel costs over 5 years compared to a regular 125 cc motorcycle that runs on petrol only.

When using petrol, the scooter’s fuel efficiency drops significantly – achieving 53.4 kilometers per liter in urban areas and 62.37 kilometers per liter on highways. In terms of emissions, the Freedom 125 emits considerably less CO2, with a reduction of 26.7% compared to petrol bikes. Additionally, it produces 85% fewer NMHCs (non-methane hydrocarbons) and 43% less NOx (nitrogen oxide) emissions than its petrol counterparts.
