BMW Motorrad has officially introduced the BMW R 1300 RT, the next-generation touring motorcycle designed to redefine comfort, performance, and technology in long-distance riding. The successor to the R 1250 RT, this new model comes packed with advanced features and an upgraded 1,300 cc twin-cylinder Boxer engine, making it one of the most compelling choices for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Visually, the R 1300 RT embraces a more contemporary and streamlined design. Compared to its predecessor, it boasts a sleeker front fascia, featuring a compact, squarish headlamp setup flanked by daytime running lights for enhanced visibility. The bike’s fairing has been reworked to offer a smoother and more aerodynamic profile, while the tall windscreen remains a signature feature, providing better wind protection for touring riders.
BMW has also focused on improving rider comfort by reducing the seat height to 780 mm, making the motorcycle more accessible to shorter riders. Additionally, the redesigned rear cases with a 27-litre capacity ensure improved space for both the rider and pillion.

The bike comes equipped with a six-speed gearbox, and for those looking for more convenience, BMW’s automated shift assistant (ASA) is available as an optional feature, automating gear shifts and clutch movements for seamless riding.

Additionally, the bike comes with three standard riding modes—Rain, Road, and Eco—while optional upgrades add Dynamic and Dynamic Pro riding modes. For enhanced rider safety, it includes engine drag torque control (MSR), dynamic ESA electronic suspension, and dynamic cruise control (DCC).
Customers can also opt for the Riding Assistant package, which provides:Active Cruise Control (ACC), Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Change Warning and Rear-End Collision Warning (RECW)
