Ultraviolette F99 Thrills Fans with Record-Smashing Performance at Valley Run 2024
Ultraviolette Automotive, an electric vehicle startup from Bengaluru, has reached a significant milestone. They have set a new record for the fastest quarter-mile time ever clocked by an Indian-made motorcycle. This achievement has been officially recognized and certified by the FMSCI (Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India).
The Ultraviolette F99 prototype set a new record by completing a quarter-mile in just 10.712 seconds, beating the previous 2022 record. The company is now looking to break the record for the fastest speed ever achieved by an Indian-made motorcycle.

The Ultraviolette F99 that broke the record has come a long way from the version displayed at EICMA 2023. The new bike is a simplified version of the original concept, looking more like a top-notch sports bike. It comes with a carbon fiber frame and a lightweight carbon fiber battery to maintain the bike’s weight at only 180 kg.
The Ultraviolette F99 Racing Concept has a 400-volt architecture paired with a liquid-cooled drivetrain. With up to 121 bhp on tap, Ultraviolette says the electric prototype shoots from 0 to 100 kmph in under three seconds and can hit 200 kmph in less than 10 seconds.
Narayan Subramaniam, who is the co-founder and CEO of Ultraviolette, mentioned “This is a huge moment of pride for India and Ultraviolette. Historically, we have always looked to the East or the West for the best performance vehicles. At Ultraviolette we are on a mission to change that narrative with the talent and knowledge within India. The record-breaking run with the F99 – which has made it ‘The Fastest Indian’ motorcycle, is undisputed validation of the engineering and design prowess in India”
