BYD eMAX 7 Electric MPV Launched with Two Variants and Two Powertrain Choices
BYD India has introduced the latest eMax 7 MPV, starting at Rs 26.9 lakh(ex-showroom) for the basic Premium model, and going up to Rs 29.9 lakh(ex-showroom) for the high-end Superior version. This electric MPV comes in two variants, each offering seating for six or seven people, and a range of powertrain choices. Bookings started on September 20 with a small payment of Rs 51,000.
BYD eMax 7: Exterior Design
The BYD eMAX 7 has a stylish new look on the outside. Up front, you’ll notice the sleek LED daytime running lights and headlamps that blend seamlessly with the slim closed-off grille. The sportier bumper has been updated with a fresh design, featuring added chrome elements at both ends, and frameless front wipers, Moving to the sides, you’ll find standard door handles and The car looks stylish with its sleek design and fashionable 17-inch alloy wheels, which enhance its attractiveness.
When you check out the rear of the car, you’ll see a modern design featuring new LED taillamps and an upgraded bumper. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with LED daytime running lights, a power-operated tailgate for easy access to the storage area, and roof rails. You have the option to pick from four distinct colors: Quartz Blue, Harbour Grey, Crystal White, and Cosmos Black.

BYD eMax 7: Interior, Features
The new eMAX 7 comes with a fresh look inside, offering plenty of room and coziness. You can choose between a six or seven-seater setup. One of the highlights is the larger 12.8-inch floating touchscreen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It’s a great feature!. Also, it has a 5.0-inch LCD MID for the instrument cluster, It features power-adjustable and folding wing mirrors and a spacious panoramic moonroof.
The eMax 7 is designed with soft-touch materials covering the dashboard panels, providing a comfortable feel. It has 6-way adjustable front seats for personalized comfort, ventilated front seats to keep you cool, wireless charging for your devices, cruise control for convenience, key-less go for easy access, dual-zone auto climate control for individualized temperature settings, a PM 2.5 air filter for cleaner air, and one-touch power window operation for effortless use. Additionally, ambient lighting adds to the overall ambiance of the vehicle.

The safety features of the vehicle comprise six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system, ESC, traction control, hill start assist, and a 360-degree camera. Additionally, it is equipped with ABS featuring EBD, TPMS, front and rear disc brakes, and other cutting-edge safety mechanisms. Moreover, the car comes with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like autonomous emergency braking, rear collision warning, and rear cross-traffic warning and braking. These features not only enhance safety but also provide added convenience for you while driving.

BYD eMax 7: Powertrain, Battery, Range
The eMax 7 offers different versions, each featuring a battery pack choice. The upgraded version comes with a 55.4kWh battery, giving you a range of about 420km according to NEDC standards. In contrast, the enhanced model features a 71.8kWh battery, offering a more extended range of 530km. In terms of performance, the Premium version boasts 163hp and accelerates from 0-100kph in 10.1 seconds, while the Superior model offers 204hp and accelerates from 0-100kph in 8.6 seconds. Both models share a torque of 310Nm. BYD states that both versions of the eMax 7 can reach a top speed of 180kph.
Both versions include a 7kW AC charger as part of the standard package. The Premium version can handle 89kW DC fast charging, while the Superior model can work with 115kW, just like other vehicles from BYD. According to BYD, the eMAX 7 can go from 0 to 80 percent charged in only 37 minutes using a compatible 71.8 kWh DC fast charger. BYD offers an 8-year/160,000 km standard battery warranty, and an 8-year/150,000 km warranty covers the motors.
