BYD Sealion 7 Available in two trim levels, Premium, and Performance.
The electric vehicle (EV) market continues to evolve, and one of the latest and most exciting entries is the BYD Sealion 7. Launched at a starting price of Rs 48.9 lakh, offering both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configurations. Both variants are equipped with an 82.6 kWh battery pack, ensuring substantial range and power. Available in two trim levels, Premium, and Performance, the Sealion 7 caters to a variety of customer preferences. The Performance variant is priced at Rs 54.90 lakh.

BYD Sealion 7: Exterior Design
Following BYD’s ‘Ocean Series’ design language, the Sealion 7 boasts a stylish and aerodynamic exterior. The front end features distinctive double-U LED headlights, a sculpted bonnet, and a blacked-out bumper with integrated air vents to cool the battery pack and other internal components. The bumper also houses a front-facing camera, part of the vehicle’s 360-degree camera setup.
The sleek side profile showcases a coupe-SUV design, complete with flush door handles and striking 20-inch alloy wheels. For those opting for the Performance variant, red brake calipers add a sporty touch. The rear of the SUV is equally impressive with connected tail lights and two spoilers—one on the roof and another on the boot lid. The chunky rear bumper further accentuates the car’s robust design.

BYD Sealion 7: Interior and Features
Step inside the BYD Sealion 7, and you’re greeted by a luxurious cabin brimming with advanced features. Both variants offer an all-black interior theme, complemented by a flat-bottomed four-spoke steering wheel. The centerpiece of the dashboard is a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen infotainment system, accompanied by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Notably, most of the vehicle’s functions are controlled through the infotainment system.
Comfort is a key focus with the inclusion of Nappa leather-upholstered front seats, which are electrically adjustable. The driver’s seat provides 8-way power adjustability with four-way lumbar support, while the passenger seat offers 6-way power adjustability. Both seats also feature a ventilation function.

Other highlights of the cabin include a panoramic glass roof, two-zone automatic climate control, a 12-speaker audio system, and a head-up display. The Sealion 7 also integrates a driver monitoring system, which uses an infrared camera to track eye movement and facial expressions, issuing alerts if signs of drowsiness or distraction are detected.
Safety is paramount in the BYD Sealion 7, which boasts an impressive 11 airbags, making it the only car in India with more than 10 airbags. Additionally, the SUV includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and automatic emergency braking.

BYD Sealion 7: Performance and Specifications
Built on BYD’s latest e-Platform 3.0, the Sealion 7 promises remarkable performance. The Performance variant features an all-wheel drive setup with one motor on each axle, producing a total of 523 bhp and 690 Nm of torque. This variant has a claimed range of 542 km.
The Premium variant, while also equipped with the 82.6 kWh battery pack, utilizes a single motor setup to power the rear wheels. It generates 308 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, with an extended range of 567 km.
