MG Windsor EV Pro Launched: Bigger Battery, Advanced Features, and Competitive Pricing.
MG Motors has unveiled the Windsor EV Pro, a premium variant of its electric MPV lineup, with an introductory price of Rs 17.49 lakh. This new model builds on the strengths of its predecessor, offering a larger 52.9 kWh battery pack, improved features, and an extended driving range.
Enhanced Battery for Longer Range
One of the most significant upgrades in the MG Windsor EV Pro is its 52.9 kWh LFP battery, which delivers a claimed 449km range per charge—a notable improvement over the standard Windsor EV’s 38 kWh battery that offers 332km. In real-world conditions, users can expect better efficiency and longer travel distances. Charging capabilities remain impressive, with a 7.4 kWh AC charger that takes 9.5 hours for a full charge, alongside 60 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 20-80% charge in just 50 minutes.

Exterior and Interior Upgrades
While retaining the sleek styling of its predecessor, the MG Windsor EV Pro receives redesigned 18-inch alloy wheels similar to those seen on the MG Hector. Buyers can also choose from three new color options—Celadon Blue, Glaze Red, and Aurora Silver.
Inside, the cabin gets a new beige-themed upholstery, replacing the all-black design. The model also introduces cutting-edge features, including a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, and a powered tailgate.

Competitive Pricing and Rivals
MG Motors has strategically priced the Windsor EV Pro to compete with other electric SUVs. At Rs 17.49 lakh, it stands against models such as the Tata Nexon EV (Rs 13.99-17.19 lakh) and the Mahindra XUV400 (Rs 15.49-17.69 lakh). Additionally, MG offers a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, where buyers can opt to exclude the battery cost from their purchase and pay a monthly fee based on usage, reducing the base price to Rs 12.49 lakh.
