New Citroen C3 CNG Retrofit Kit Priced at Rs 93,000 – Mileage Claimed at 28.1 Km/Kg.
Citroen, the French car company, now offers a CNG kit that can be installed by dealers for their C3 hatchback in India. This gives you the choice of using an alternative fuel. The cost of this new version is Rs 7.16 lakh, with the CNG kit increasing the price by Rs 93,000 compared to the petrol model.

Engine and Performance
The Citroen C3 CNG runs on a 1.2-liter engine that produces 82hp and 115Nm when using petrol. Although Citroen hasn’t disclosed exact performance details for the CNG model, it boasts an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 28.1km/kg. This hatchback is equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, offering a good mix of performance and fuel economy for your driving needs.
Citroen has partnered with Lovato to offer a single-cylinder CNG kit with a water-equivalent capacity of 55 litres. According to Citroen, a full tank provides a range of 170-200 km, making it a practical choice for city commuters looking for cost-effective and eco-friendly mobility.

The Citroen C3 CNG offers four versions: Live, priced at Rs 7.16 lakh; Feel, priced at Rs 7.41 lakh; Feel (O), priced at Rs 8.45 lakh; and Shine, which costs Rs 9.09 lakh. If you’re looking for extra premium features, you could check out the Shine Dark Edition. It’s a bit more expensive but comes with stylish upgrades.
Even though the Citroen C3 CNG comes with a higher price tag compared to Maruti’s Wagon R, it is more affordable than smaller SUVs like Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter. This makes it a strong contender in its category. Citroen India provides a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty on the CNG parts, which aligns with the warranty offered for the petrol models.
