At the heart of the Ducati Desmo450 MX lies a 449.6 cc single-cylinder engine featuring Ducati’s signature Desmodromic valve system. This unique setup delivers a broad power band, combining strong low-end torque with high-revving performance.

The engine produces 64 bhp at 9,400 rpm and 53.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, paired with a five-speed gearbox and quickshifter. Titanium intake valves and steel exhaust valves allow the motor to rev up to an impressive 11,900 rpm, ensuring explosive performance on the track.

The Ducati Desmo450 MX also introduces a sophisticated traction control system, a first in the motocross category. Unlike conventional systems, it activates only when necessary, ensuring riders experience pure, uncompromised performance while maintaining safety in demanding conditions.

Built on a lightweight aluminium frame, the bike promises agility and durability. Suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable Showa 49 mm upside-down fork at the front and a rear monoshock, while braking is managed by a 260 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels, wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion MX32 mid-soft tyres, designed for optimal grip on varying track surfaces.
