Harley-Davidson and Hero MotoCorp have added a new flagship to their co-developed line-up with the launch of the Harley Davidson X440 T in India. Priced at Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the X440 T now sits at the top of the X440 range and brings fresh performance tech, revised styling and a more premium positioning for riders looking beyond the standard variants.

At its core, the Harley Davidson X440 T retains the familiar 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine from the standard X440. It continues to produce 27hp and 38Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Harley Davidson X440 T is offered in four colours – Black, Red, Blue and White

The bike now features ride-by-wire, unlocking two riding modes – Road and Rain – tailored for different conditions. It also gets switchable traction control and switchable rear ABS, giving riders more control and safety, especially on wet or unpredictable surfaces. A Panic Braking Alert system has also been added.

Visually, the Harley Davidson X440 T sets itself apart with a reworked rear section. Harley-Davidson has revised the rear subframe and introduced an all-new tail design along with redesigned grab handles, aimed at improving pillion comfort and addressing one of the major criticisms of the earlier X440.

The new rear three-quarter stance looks more cohesive, better proportioned and sportier, with the gap between the rear wheel and fender now reduced for a tighter, more muscular profile. At 192kg kerb, the X440 T is only around 1.5kg heavier than the standard bike, so the added features and revised tail do not come at the cost of a big weight penalty.
