The special Hero Centennial edition of Karizma XMR features carbon fiber, billet components, and a fresh design update.
Hero MotoCorp recently revealed the name of its new limited-edition motorcycle “Centennial” inspired by the Karizma XMR. This special bike was introduced at the Hero World 2024 event. Only 100 motorcycles will be made, and they will be auctioned exclusively to Hero’s employees, associates, business partners, and stakeholders. What’s unique is that the funds from these sales will go towards social welfare. The lucky buyers can expect their motorcycles to be delivered starting in September 2024.
At a pivotal moment for the Indian automotive giant, a special announcement was made to mark a year since Dr. Munjal’s hundredth birthday. Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp and the late founder’s son, revealed this milestone on July 1, 2024. He highlighted the significant influence his father had on the Indian automotive sector and beyond.
The Centennial bike shares the engine and frame with the Karizma XMR, but it comes with some top-notch improvements over the original model. For example, it includes body panels made from lightweight carbon fiber. Additionally, parts such as the handlebar, handlebar mount, triple clamp, and footpegs are meticulously machined and anodized to make them more long-lasting. The bike comes with cool 17-inch alloy wheels and top-notch suspension features. It has a gas-charged mono-shock from Wilbers and 43mm upside-down forks that you can adjust for compression and rebound.
The Centennial bike comes with a robust 210cc liquid-cooled engine, much like the Karizma. What makes it special is the carbon fiber and titanium exhaust system by Akrapovic. To give it a distinctive look, it includes a solo seat with a carbon fiber pillion seat cowl and custom aluminum numbered badges on the side covers. Weighing in at 158kg, the Centennial is 5.5kg lighter than the regular Karizma XMR.
