Hero Xoom 160 Maxi-Scooter Debuts with a Powerful 156cc Liquid-Cooled Engine
Hero MotoCorp has made a significant leap in the scooter segment with the launch of the Hero Xoom 160 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This maxi-scooter, priced at Rs 1.48 lakh (ex-showroom), marks Hero’s debut in the 160 cc category, expanding its portfolio beyond the 125 cc segment. Bookings for the Xoom 160 will begin in February, with deliveries expected to commence by March.

Hero Xoom 160 Design and Features
The Hero Xoom 160 boasts a sleek, modern and aggressive design, featuring a tall front apron and an ADV-style aesthetic. The dual-chamber LED headlights and windscreen enhance its presence on the road, while the step-through design adds to its practicality. The rear section is angular, with an upswept rear seat and LED taillight, giving it a sporty look. The scooter runs on 14-inch wheels at both ends, similar to its rival, the Yamaha Aerox 155
The scooter is equipped with a digital instrument console, keyless ignition, remote seat opening, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation, ensuring a tech-savvy ride. It rides on a telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock at the rear, with disc brakes at both ends for efficient braking.

Hero Xoom 160 Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Xoom 160 is powered by a 156-cc liquid-cooled engine, distinct from the unit found in the Xtreme 160R 4V. This engine delivers an impressive 14 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, positioning it as a strong contender among maxi-scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Aprilia SR160.
Weighing in at 141 kg, the Xoom 160 is 15 kg heavier than the Aerox 155. Despite the additional weight, the Xoom 160’s performance and features make it a strong contender in the maxi-scooter market.
