Honda to Reveal Activa e and QC1 Electric Scooter Prices This Month, Deliveries Set for February
In a significant move towards sustainable urban mobility, Honda has introduced two new electric scooters tailored for the Indian market: the Honda Activa e: and the QC1. These scooters mark Honda’s entry into the electric vehicle (EV) segment in India, catering to different ends of the market with their unique features and specifications.
Honda has officially started accepting pre-bookings for the Activa e: and QC1 electric scooters. Interested buyers can reserve their scooters for a token amount of Rs 1,000 at select dealerships in major metro cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi. The prices for both models are expected to be revealed later this month, with deliveries commencing in February.

Both the scooters share a similar design language and color palette. Despite their visual similarities, the Activa e: stands out with its more premium build quality. The scooters are designed to cater to different customer needs, with the Activa e: focusing on premium features and the QC1 emphasizing practicality and affordability.

Honda Activa e: Powertrain, Battery Pack
The Honda Activa e runs on two 1.5kWh batteries that you can swap at Honda’s Power Pack Exchanger e-stations. It can go up to 102km on one full charge. The batteries power a motor mounted on the swingarm, producing 6kW and 22Nm of torque. It can reach a top speed of 80kph, and Honda says it can go from 0 to 60kph in 7.3 seconds.

The battery in this electric scooter is built to last, being water and dust-resistant with an IP65 rating. On top of that, it comes with a sturdy 3-year/50,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. This gives you a reliable and stylish choice when opting for an electric scooter.

Honda QC1: Powertrain, Battery Pack
The Honda QC1 runs on a single 1.5kWh lithium-ion battery that’s both water and dust-resistant, rated at IP67 for durability. This compact battery fuels a BLDC motor mounted on the hub, delivering 1.8kW (2.4hp) at its peak and 77Nm of torque. It can reach a top speed of 50kph and go from 0 to 40kph in just 9.7 seconds.

The Scooter comes with a claimed IDC range of 80km. A full charge can take quite a while, precisely 6 hours and 50 minutes, thanks to the 330-watt charger included with the QC1. However, if you charge it from empty to 80 percent SOC, the time reduces to 4 hours and 30 minutes. This vehicle features CAN-controlled auto-cut technology to enhance charging efficiency. The vehicle comes with a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km for the vehicle, charger, and battery.
