In an exciting move for India’s competitive 100cc motorcycle segment, Honda 2Wheelers India has pulled the covers off its latest commuter offering—the Honda Shine 100 DX. Positioned above the standard Shine 100, this new variant brings a host of styling and functional upgrades designed to appeal to young, value-conscious riders across urban and rural markets.

Design & Styling Updates

The Shine 100 DX stands out from its earlier model with a refreshed design. It features a new, sculpted fuel tank decorated with bold Honda branding. The headlamp is now accented with chrome, giving it a more premium look. Its body graphics are stylish, and the seat has been extended for more comfort.

The engine and grab rail are finished in all-black, creating a sleek visual contrast. This model is available in four lively colors: Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Grey Metallic.

Features & Technology

Honda improves the Shine 100 DX with a new digital LCD instrument cluster. It shows real-time mileage, the remaining range, and alerts for upcoming service. The bike also has a side stand cut-off to prevent accidents. Its brake system is better with CBS, which balances braking forces.

The suspension includes telescopic forks at the front and five-step adjustable shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle is fitted with 17-inch tubeless tires and has a ground clearance of 168 mm, making it suitable for different road conditions.

Engine & Performance

The engine packs a proven 98.98cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected system. It delivers 7.2 horsepower at 7,500 RPM and 8.04 Nm of torque at 5,000 RPM. The bike uses a 4-speed gearbox for shifting. It also includes Honda’s eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology to improve combustion and boost efficiency.
