Hyundai Creta Electric: Prices Start at Rs 17.99 Lakh and go Up to Rs 23.50 Lakh (Ex-Showroom)

The much-anticipated Hyundai Creta Electric has finally made its debut at the Auto Expo 2025, with introductory prices starting from Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This marks Hyundai’s first mass-market electric vehicle (EV) for India, and it promises to be a game-changer in the midsize electric SUV segment.

The Creta Electric comes in five different versions: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium, and Excellence. The prices range from Rs 17.99 lakh for the base Executive variant to Rs 23.50 lakh for the top-end Excellence LR variant.

Hyundai Creta Electric: Design and Advanced Technology

The Hyundai Creta Electric truly showcases Hyundai’s dedication to pushing the boundaries with innovative technology. The vehicle boasts a pixelated graphic front grille with an integrated charging port, giving it a futuristic and distinctive look. The pixelated graphic lower bumper and rear bumper, along with connected LED tail lamps and The rear bumper also get pixel-like detailing and a prominent faux skid plate.

The Hyundai Creta Electric is equipped with R17 Aero Alloy Wheels with Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tyres, which contribute to improved range efficiency and aerodynamic performance. The Active Air Flap (AAF) adds a touch of style while optimizing airflow for cooling and enhanced aerodynamics.

Hyundai Creta Electric Interior and Features

The interior of the Creta Electric is designed much like the standard Creta. It features twin 10.25-inch screens for entertainment and information, a panoramic sunroof, front seats that are powered and ventilated, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, dual-zone AC, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The central touchscreen allows you to use voice commands, it has a wireless phone charger, various USB ports, rear AC vents, an air purifier, and Bluelink in-car connectivity. Hyundai has opted for sustainable materials for the seat upholstery to enhance the eco-friendly aspect of the vehicle.

The Creta Electric is equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite, six airbags, 360-degree cameras, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and hill-start and descent assist.

Hyundai Creta Electric Powertrain, Battery and Range

The Creta Electric offers two powertrain options. The first features a 42-kWh battery paired with a 133 bhp electric motor, while the second, a long-range model, uses a 51.4 kWh battery and comes with a more powerful 169 bhp unit. Hyundai claims that the long-range Creta Electric can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.9 seconds. The Creta Electric offers three drive modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport – which can be toggled using a rotary dial. It also features single-pedal driving (i-Pedal) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging.

When it comes to range, the 42-kWh battery variant offers up to 390 km on a full charge, while the 51.4 kWh battery variant can go up to 473 km (both figures are ARAI-certified). The Creta Electric also includes EV-specific updates such as seat-back tray tables, rear window sunblinds, a 22-litre frunk, and vehicle-to-load functionality, allowing the car to work as a power source for small appliances

The larger battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 58 minutes using a DC fast charger. An 11kW AC home charger takes about 4 hours to charge from 10 to 100 percent. The top three variants come with an optional 11kW AC wall box charger for an additional Rs 73,000.
