Hyundai Creta EV Set to Shine at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo
Hyundai has unveiled a teaser for its upcoming Creta Electric, marking an exciting development in its electric vehicle range. The teaser states, “A bold new chapter in electric begins soon. Hyundai Creta Electric is set to change the way you drive, forever. The countdown to innovation has begun! Coming soon,” highlighting the company’s dedication to expanding its electric offerings in India.
Hyundai Creta EV Design and Features
The Hyundai Creta Electric will maintain a similar look and size to the internal combustion engine version but will include key elements that identify it as an electric vehicle. These features will consist of a closed front grille, a front charging port, aerodynamic alloy wheels, and updated bumpers with connected LED tail lights. The front lighting design is expected to feature horizontally arranged LED lights and integrated turn signals.

The Hyundai Creta EV may include premium features from Hyundai’s leading electric vehicle, the Ioniq. Anticipated features include a 10.25-inch digital driver display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen for entertainment, a Bose sound system, and a panoramic sunroof that can be controlled by voice.
Additional features may comprise ventilated and powered front seats, dual-zone climate control, and Hyundai’s unique 4-dot steering wheel. Safety will be enhanced with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and blind spot detection.

Hyundai Creta EV Powertrain and Performance
The Creta EV will likely house a 45 kWh battery paired with an electric motor producing about 138 hp and 255 Nm of torque. It is expected to achieve a range of 450 km on a single charge. The vehicle will also feature advanced regenerative braking for improved efficiency.
The Hyundai Creta Electric will compete in the growing electric SUV market, facing rivals such as the Tata Curvv. ev, MG Windsor, and MG ZS EV, as well as future competitors like the Mahindra BE.05 and Maruti eVX. The Creta EV will be produced at Hyundai’s Chennai facility on the same production line as the standard Creta for efficient manufacturing.
The Hyundai Creta EV is set to launch on January 17, 2025, at the Bharat Expo in Delhi. With a starting price of around Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), the Creta EV aims to attract buyers seeking a premium yet practical electric SUV.
