Hyundai Venue Breaking Records with 600,000 Units Sold in Just 5.5 Years

The Hyundai Venue compact SUV has hit a new sales record of 600,000 units in the local market. It achieved this milestone in just under five and a half years since its India debut in May 2019. Among Hyundai SUVs, the Venue ranks second in sales, following the Creta, which has sold 1.13 million units to date. So, it’s definitely a popular choice among SUV enthusiasts like you!

The Hyundai Venue reached its first milestone of 50,000 units rapidly, achieving this in just six months after its launch. It then hit the 100,000 sales mark within 15 months, followed by 200,000 units in 25 months. Surpassing the 250,000 milestone in 30 months, the Venue continued its success by reaching over 300,000 units in April 2023, marking 36 months since its launch. The Sales of 200,000 to 300,000 units happened within 11 months. It took the same time to reach 400,000 units. Surpassing the half-a-million mark in November 2023, the next 100,000 units to hit 600,000 sales needed 12 months.

The Venue had its best performance in the past year during FY2024, selling 128,897 units, which is an 8 percent increase compared to FY2023 when it sold 120,653 units. However, in the first seven months of this fiscal year, The Venue sold a total of 67,422 units, which is a 12 percent decrease compared to the same period last year when it sold 76,956 units from April to October 2023.

The Hyundai Venue is quite versatile, coming in 26 versions, with 23 of them being petrol and three diesel. You have three engines to choose from: an 83hp 1.2-liter petrol, a 120hp 1.0-liter turbo-petrol, and a 115hp 1.5-liter diesel. You can pick between a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, or a 7-speed DCT for the petrol models and a six-speed manual for the diesel one. The prices for the Venue start at Rs 7.94 lakh and go up to Rs 13.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

This car comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, and three-point seatbelts that remind you to buckle up. On top of that, you get electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill assist control, a rear camera with dynamic guidelines, and tire pressure monitoring. For added safety, it also includes advanced driver-assistance features like Leading Vehicle Departure Alert (LVDA) and Forward Collision Warning and Avoidance Assist.
