Kawasaki KLE 500 returns as a rally-inspired middleweight adventure bike with A2 compliance, KYB suspension and two variants for 2026.
Kawasaki has unveiled the all-new KLE 500 for 2026, reviving a popular middleweight adventure name with clear rally intent. The bike combines slim, long-travel styling and a tall screen with practical details like a 16-litre tank and an upright rider position designed for long days on tarmac and gravel alike.
At the heart of the Kawasaki KLE 500 sits a liquid-cooled parallel-twin paired with an assist-and-slipper clutch, a combination aimed at smooth power delivery and lighter lever action when riding technical sections. Kawasaki positions the engine to meet Europe’s A2 licence rules, making the bike accessible for newer riders while still offering usable midweight performance.

Chassis and suspension are tuned for mixed-surface use. A trellis frame carries a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, while KYB inverted cartridge forks up front and a Uni-Trak mono-shock at the rear promise stable highway manners and competent off-road behaviour. Braking is handled by discs with selectable ABS that can be switched off for true off-pavement braking.
Kawasaki will offer the KLE 500 in two flavours: a standard model and an SE variant. The SE steps up equipment with a TFT display, LED indicators, taller screen, handguards and an engine skid plate. Connectivity is delivered through Kawasaki’s Rideology app for smartphone pairing, ride data and navigation convenience. Genuine accessories include panniers, an Akrapovič titanium option, radiator guards, a USB-C charger and other adventure kit to personalise the bike for touring or trail use.

Global deliveries are slated from March 2026, although Kawasaki has not confirmed an India launch timeline or local pricing yet.
