Kawasaki India has made waves in the dual-sport motorcycle segment by slashing the price of its KLX 230 by a whopping Rs 1.31 lakh. With local production now underway, the MY26 Kawasaki KLX 230 is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 lakh—down from its earlier Rs 3.30 lakh tag.

Key Mechanical Updates
Kawasaki lowered the price but made some hardware changes. The suspension now has less travel. The brakes switched from dual-channel ABS to single-channel ABS. These updates keep the bike’s main feel while lowering its cost for Indian buyers.

Kawasaki KLX 230: Engine & Performance
The KLX 230 engine is powerful. It has a 233cc, air-cooled, single cylinder. The engine makes 18.73 bhp at 8,000 rpm. It produces 19 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. A 6-speed gearbox handles the power. This blend gives good trail torque and smooth highway riding.
Design & Features
The KLX 230 features a simple, tough look. This design suits riders who love off-road adventures. It has an open, light frame. A one-piece seat helps with control. Bright LED lights are on the front. The dash shows speed and fuel. It uses an LCD screen with Bluetooth. You can get it in Lime Green or Battle Grey.

Chassis & Ride Dynamics
Adventure awaits with the KLX 230. It has a 37 mm fork up front. This fork gives 220 mm of travel. A Uni-Trak shock handles the rear. Rear travel measures 223 mm. It sports a 21-inch front wheel. The rear wheel is 18 inches. Both wheels use spokes. Dual-purpose tires grip the path.
Front and rear disc brakes provide stopping power. Single-channel ABS adds safety. Ground clearance is a generous 265 mm. The seat sits at 880 mm high. This bike weighs 139 kg with fluids. Its fuel tank holds 7.6 litres.
