Kia India has officially launched its first locally produced electric vehicle, the Carens Clavis EV, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s electrification journey. Priced from Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are expected to begin soon

Available variants include HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER. Color choices are Ivory Silver Matte, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, and Gravity Grey.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV comes with two battery options. The 42kWh Standard Pack is perfect for city driving, offering a range of 404 km on a single charge. The 51.4kWh Extended Pack is better for longer trips, providing up to 490 km of range. Both versions include regenerative braking, which uses paddle shifters, and feature i-pedal technology. These features help improve driving efficiency and give better control.

Kia has equipped the Clavis EV with many high-end features. It sports dual 12.25-inch screens for both infotainment and gauges. A panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting create a stylish interior. Ventilated front seats and a four-way powered driver’s seat add comfort.

All-LED lights, active air flaps, and 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels give it a sleek look. The car includes a Level 2 ADAS system and six airbags for better safety. UV-cut glass helps keep out the sun’s rays, and the front charging port is illuminated for easier use.
