Kia India Hits 1.5 Million Production Milestone—Fastest Ever in the Country!
Kia India, a subsidiary of the South Korean automaker, has achieved a major production milestone, rolling out 1.5 million units from its Anantapur manufacturing plant. Established in 2019, the company has rapidly grown to become one of the most trusted and fastest-growing car brands in India.
The 1.5 Millionth Carens Steals the Spotlight The milestone car, a Kia Carens, is set to receive a facelift with exciting updates. This refreshed model is anticipated to hit the market on May 8, 2025, boasting visual enhancements, feature upgrades, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Kia India’s commitment to innovation is highlighted by this upcoming launch.

Models Driving Kia’s Success in India Currently, Kia locally produces four models in India:
- Seltos: A robust performer with over 700,000 units produced.
- Sonet: Versatile and stylish, boasting 519,064 units manufactured.
- Carens: The family-friendly MPV has reached 241,582 units.
- Syros: A compact option with 23,036 units rolled out.
Additionally, Kia imports other models, such as the Carnival MPV and EV6 & EV9 electric SUVs, showcasing the brand’s diverse portfolio.
