Kia India Announces 2% Price Increase Effective from January 2025
Planning to purchase a Kia Seltos, Sonet, or Carens soon? Well, you might want to seal the deal before December ends, or you could end up paying more. Kia, the Korean auto company, just announced a price increase for all its vehicles starting next month. They are the fifth top car manufacturer in India to announce such a hike in a week. Earlier, companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor, Mahindra, and JSW MG Motor also shared plans for price increases starting in January next year.
By January 2025, almost every car manufacturer plans to increase their car prices. Kia India also confirmed that their car prices will rise by 2% starting January 1, 2025. This increase is mainly because of the growing costs of materials and the higher expenses related to the supply chain. So, be prepared for a slight increase in the cost of cars in the coming year. Kia hasn’t disclosed the exact price increases for each model yet. It’s likely that Seltos and Carens will see larger price hikes than Kia’s smallest SUV.

Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, mentioned, “At Kia, we are committed to delivering exceptional, technologically advanced vehicles of the highest quality to our valued customers. However, due to the persistent rise in commodity prices, unfavorable exchange rates, and increased input costs, a necessary price adjustment has become unavoidable. Despite these challenges, Kia is absorbing a significant portion of the cost increase, minimizing the financial impact on our customers, so they can continue enjoying their favorite Kia vehicles without a major dent in their pockets.”
