A new top-tier adventure bike from KTM is now out – the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, priced at Rs 22.74 lakh (ex-showroom). This bike is built to tackle tough terrains and go the distance on long tours. KTM, the Austrian motorcycle brand, is making waves in the adventure bike scene with this release. The Super Adventure S is set to both extreme adventurers and riders who love covering long distances.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure S Design, Features
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S is a big and tough adventure bike. It stands tall, has a bulky body, and has a rugged style. The 1290 Adventure S comes with a split LED headlight featuring DRLs and a radar sensor in the middle. Currently, it is available in just one color. It boasts a spacious 23-liter fuel tank, a large fairing that shields the engine and directs airflow, a split-seat design, and a seat height of 869mm, which can be lowered by 20mm.
The bike has a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. The front wheel has a 320mm dual-disc setup, while the rear wheel has a 267mm disc. Both wheels are on cast aluminum wheels with Mitas Terra Force R tires. For suspension, there’s a WP semi-active USD fork in the front and a WP semi-active monoshock in the rear.

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S comes with top-notch features like keyless ignition, radar-assisted cruise control, and full LED lighting. It has a six-axis IMU system that manages functions such as traction control, slip regulation, engine braking, and off-road ABS. The bike also boasts a seven-inch TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation, media controls, and call/SMS alerts. Additionally, it offers practical features like a quick-access storage compartment and heated grips. and a USB charging port.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure S Engine
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure S is packed with a new 1,301cc liquid-cooled, V-twin-cylinder engine that gives you 160hp at 9,000rpm and 138Nm at 6,500rpm. This power is managed by a six-speed transmission, complete with a bi-directional quick shifter and a slipper clutch. You get to choose from four ride modes: Rain, Street, Sport, Off-road, and Rally (optional).
