KTM 390 Enduro R Shares Its Engine with the Iconic 390 Duke
The KTM 390 Enduro R is the latest addition to KTM’s impressive lineup of dual-sport motorcycles. Recently showcased at the 2024 edition of EICMA, this bike has generated significant buzz among enthusiasts. Built on the same platform as the 390 Adventure S and 390 Duke, the 390 Enduro R promises to deliver an exhilarating riding experience both on and off the road.

KTM 390 Enduro R Design and Features
The motorcycle features a KTM steel-trellis frame, which is known for its durability and stability. In terms of braking, the KTM 390 Enduro R is equipped with a 285mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. Additionally, it comes with switchable dual-channel ABS, enhancing safety and control.

The KTM 390 Enduro R boasts a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel setup, making it well-suited for off-road riding. The suspension system includes a USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. With a ground clearance of 272mm ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride.

Despite its rugged appearance, the 390 Enduro R is a slender machine with minimal bodywork. It comes with a small 9-litre fuel tank and weighs just 159kg without fuel, making it 6kg lighter than the 390 Duke. This weight reduction contributes to its agility and maneuverability, which are essential for off-road adventures.

KTM has equipped the 390 Enduro R with a range of advanced features to enhance the riding experience. The bike boasts a 4.2-inch TFT display, providing clear and comprehensive information to the rider. It also offers two riding modes, Street and Offroad, allowing riders to customize their experience based on the terrain. Additionally, the TFT dash is capable of accessing music, incoming calls, and turn-by-turn navigation, ensuring that riders stay connected even on the go.

KTM 390 Enduro R Engine and Performance
The KTM 390 Enduro R is powered by the LC4c engine, the same engine found in the 390 Duke. This engine generates 44.2hp of power in global markets, while the Indian version is expected to produce 46hp. The torque output stands at 39Nm, providing ample power for both on-road and off-road adventures.
The KTM 390 Enduro R is set to launch in the coming weeks, alongside the 390 Adventure S. KTM has also revealed more details about the 390 SMC R, which is expected to launch in the second half of this year. The 390 Adventure S will feature larger 21-inch/18-inch spoked wheels, while the SMC R will come with 17-inch wheels at both ends.
