KTM India launches the new KTM RC 160 at ₹1.85 lakh, blending sportbike performance with aggressive design.
KTM India has expanded its sportbike lineup with the launch of the all-new KTM RC 160, priced at ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Positioned below the RC 200 and RC 390, the RC 160 becomes the most accessible supersport model in the Austrian brand’s range, offering fans a wallet-friendly entry into KTM’s aggressive full-faired segment.

The KTM RC 160 draws its mechanicals straight from the recently introduced KTM 160 Duke, sharing the same 164.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This mill produces about 19hp at 9,500rpm and 15.5Nm of torque at 7,500rpm, teamed with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist-and-slipper clutch. KTM claims the bike can sprint to a top speed of around 118kmph, ensuring spirited performance in its class.
Visually, the KTM RC 160 carries unmistakable KTM DNA with aggressive bodywork that mirrors its bigger RC siblings. The fully faired silhouette incorporates sharp lines, a sporty fairing, and rider-focused ergonomics that give it a track-inspired stance. Standard full-LED lighting across the headlamp, tail lamp and indicators enhances both visibility and style, while the clean cockpit features a functional LCD instrument cluster to keep all essential info in view.

Chassis and suspension duties stay true to KTM’s performance intent. The RC 160 rides on 37mm upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock, providing confidence-inspiring dynamics on twisty roads or city streets. Braking hardware includes a 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS, helping to deliver strong stopping power and safety. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres sized 110/70 at the front and 140/60 at the rear.
