Mahindra BE 6 Electric SUV Secures Second Spot Among India’s Safest Vehicles, Right Behind the XEV 9e
The Mahindra BE 6 has recently achieved a significant milestone by securing a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. In the crash tests, the Mahindra BE 6 scored an impressive 31.97 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points for child occupant protection. These scores reflect the vehicle’s robust safety features.

Mahindra BE 6 Adult and Child Safety Scores
The Bharat NCAP crash tests involved several rigorous assessments. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the BE 6 scored 15.97 out of 16 points, while in the side deformable barrier test, it achieved a perfect score of 16 out of 16 points. The vehicle provided ‘good’ protection to all parts of the co-driver and ‘adequate’ protection to the driver’s right tibia, with ‘good’ protection for all other parts. In the side impact tests, the protection for all parts of the adult dummy was rated ‘good’.
For child occupant protection, the BE 6 excelled with a dynamic score of 24 out of 24 points, a child restraint system (CRS) installation score of 12 out of 12 points, and a vehicle assessment score of 9 out of 13 points. The dynamic tests used CRS for both 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies, ensuring comprehensive safety for young passengers.

Mahindra BE 6 Price and Safety Features
Right now, the prices for the mid-spec models of both electric vehicles have not yet been disclosed. The Mahindra BE 6 base model costs Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top-spec goes for Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). You can choose from eight colors for the SUV, including Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Stealth Black, Tango Red, Deep Forest, Desert Myst, Desert Myst Satin, and Everest White Satin.
The Mahindra BE 6 is equipped with numerous safety features, including up to seven airbags (six as standard), an auto park assist, an electronic stability program (ESP), a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Additionally, it boasts level 2 ADAS technology, featuring forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control.
