Mahindra & Mahindra has raised the safety bar in the Indian SUV segment by introducing Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to its popular Scorpio-N. This strategic move enhances driver confidence and passenger security while positioning the Scorpio-N as a formidable contender in the premium SUV market.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8L: ADAS Features
Forward Collision Warning helps prevent crashes by alerting you of obstacles ahead. Lane Departure Warning signals when you unintentionally drift out of your lane. Lane Keep Assist gently steers you back if you start to leave your lane. Adaptive Cruise Control maintains a set speed and distance, even stopping and starting in traffic.
High Beam Assist automatically toggles between high and low beams for better visibility. Smart Pilot Assist combines several functions to support easier driving. Traffic Sign Recognition displays signs on your dashboard or screen.Speed Limit Assist suggests adjustments based on posted signs.
Front Vehicle Start Alert notifies you if the car in front begins to move. Driver Attention Detection monitors your focus and warns if you seem distracted. These features work together to make semi-autonomous driving smoother, especially on long trips or in busy city traffic.

Powertrain and Variants
Buyers have two engine options: a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine that delivers 200 bhp and 380 Nm, or a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The diesel produces up to 172 bhp and 400 Nm, depending on the version. You can choose between manual or automatic transmissions, and drive options include 2WD and 4WD. The Scorpio-N Z8L comes in both six- and seven-seater models, making it suitable for families or those looking for adventure.

New Z8T Variant: Premium Features at Lower Price
Mahindra has launched a new Z8T variant for those who want upscale features but want to keep costs in check. The starting price is Rs 20.29 lakh (ex-showroom). This model comes with several upgrades, such as a 12-speaker Sony audio system, a front camera with parking sensors, and an electronic parking brake.
It also features an auto-dimming inside mirror and ventilated front seats for extra comfort. The driver’s seat is 6-way powered for easy adjustments. For style and strength, it has 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, making it a well-rounded choice.
