The Mahindra XEV 9e, equipped with a 79kWh battery, can cover a distance of 655km on a single charge.
On Tuesday, Mahindra revealed the prices for its new premium XEV 9e electric vehicle. The entry-level model, Pack One, comes in at Rs 21.90 lakh, while the more advanced 79kWh Pack Three is priced at Rs 30.50 lakh, excluding showroom charges. The company has not shared the price for the XEV 9e Pack Two yet, which will give the full picture of the pricing lineup. Remember, these prices do not cover the charger cost, which you will need to buy separately.
Mahindra announced that you can make bookings for Pack Three starting on February 14, and deliveries are anticipated to begin in early March. Information regarding booking the remaining variants will be disclosed in March. The Mahindra XEV 9e comes in eight colors: Tango Red, Everest White, Nebula Blue, Stealth Black, Gold Dawn, Ruby Velvet, Deep Forest, and Desert Myst.

Mahindra XEV 9e Interior, Features
As you step into the car, you’ll notice a stylish and modern interior. The steering wheel has a sleek two-spoke design with an illuminated logo, while the dashboard features multiple layers. In the center console, you’ll find controls for driving modes, gear shifting, cupholders, and wireless phone charging pads. The dashboard is equipped with three screens – one for the driver, another for the touchscreen, and one for the passenger.
The XEV 9e model comes with a large 665-liter trunk and a smaller 150-liter front trunk. This e-SUV is packed with cool features like a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting in multiple colors, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, seats that can be powered and ventilated, a powerful 1,400W 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, a Heads-Up Display (HUD), Android Auto and Apple Carplay, an entertainment screen, dual-zone climate control, and a 10.25-inch digital driver display.

The XEV comes with various safety features to keep you safe on the road. These include 6 airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, disc brakes all around, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake (EPB), and blind spot monitoring. Additionally, you’ll find auto headlamps and wipers for added convenience. The XEV also offers park assist to help you park your car easily.

Mahindra BE 6e Powertrain, Battery Pack
The XEV 9e gives you a choice between two battery sizes: a 59 kWh option in the base models and a bigger 79 kWh one in the higher-end models. When it comes to power, the electric motor delivers 170 kW and 380 Nm of torque with the smaller battery. With the larger 79 kWh battery, the power output increases to 210 kW, while the torque remains the same. According to Mahindra, the XEV 9e is designed to provide a range of up to 655 km on a single charge with its 79 kWh battery pack. Similarly, the certified range for the 59 kWh unit is 542 km.

The Mahindra XEV 9e offers you different ways to charge it to fit your needs. It can handle up to 11 kW AC charging and up to 175 kW DC fast charging. This electric SUV comes with an 11 kW onboard charger, making charging quick and easy. If you have the 59 kWh battery, going from 0-100% with a 7.2 kW AC charger will take you about 8.7 hours.
But if you use the 11 kW AC charger, it will be faster, only taking around 6 hours. Likewise, the 79 kWh battery will take about 11.7 hours to charge with a 7.2 kW AC charger, but only 8 hours with the 11 kW AC charger. With DC fast charging, you can charge either battery from 20% to 80% in only 20 minutes. The 59 kWh battery can handle 140 kW, while the 79 kWh battery can handle 175 kW.
