Maruti Suzuki Dzire Global NCAP Crash Test in Adult Occupant Safety

The latest Maruti Suzuki Dzire model achieved a solid score of 31.24 out of 34 for protecting adult occupants. In crash tests, the protection for the driver’s and front passenger’s head and neck was rated as good. However, the driver’s chest protection was considered marginal. On the other hand, the front passenger’s chest received adequate protection. Both the driver’s and passenger’s knees were well-protected, and their tibias were also adequately shielded.

The footwell space got a good rating, and the bodyshell was deemed stable, holding up well under additional pressure, according to Global NCAP. During the side impact examination, the test dummy received good protection for the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis. In the side pole impact test, the head, abdomen, and pelvis also had good protection, but the chest only had marginal protection.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire Global NCAP Crash Test in Child Occupant Safety

When it comes to keeping your child safe, the 2025 Dzire earned a solid four-star rating for child occupant protection, scoring 39.20 out of 49 points. Specifically, in the frontal offset crash test, the child seat designed for a 3-year-old dummy was set up facing forward with ISOFIX anchorages and a top tether. It effectively stopped excessive forward movement during the crash, providing excellent head and chest protection. However, there were some limitations in safeguarding the dummy’s neck. The special seat for your 18-month-old child can be easily installed facing the rear of the car with ISOFIX anchors and a support leg. This setup effectively shields your child’s head, ensuring complete safety.

During the side impact test, the child safety seats designed for the 18-month-old and 3-year-old dummies provided complete protection in the event of a crash. Nonetheless, the report highlights that there is no option to deactivate the front passenger airbag if you install a rear-facing child seat.

Yet, Maruti Suzuki faced challenges as Global NCAP conducted a crash test on the previous Dzire model, despite its popularity. The results were disappointing, with only two stars awarded for the safety of both adult occupants and children.
