Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Powertrain, Fuel Efficiency

When it comes to the power under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire runs on The Z12E three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine. This engine first appeared in the latest Swift model this year and now powers the new Dzire, marking it as the second Maruti vehicle to feature this engine. The power output matches that of the Swift, delivering 82hp and 112Nm of torque. You can pair it with either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed AMT automatic transmission.

The latest Dzire has an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 24.79 kilometers per liter with manual transmission and 25.71 kilometers per liter with AMT. If you opt for the CNG model, you can expect a fuel efficiency of 33.73 kilometers per kilogram. This places it slightly below the Swift, which achieves 24.8 kilometers per liter with manual transmission and 25.74 kilometers per liter with AMT.
