Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance combines a 469hp 4-cylinder engine with a 201hp motor.
The latest release in India is the Mercedes AMG C 63 S E Performance, priced at Rs 1.95 crore, ex-showroom. This model is AMG’s third new car launch in the country this year and their third plug-in hybrid available, after the S 63 E Performance and the GT 63 S E Performance. Mercedes says that the AMG C 63 S E Performance car runs on the most potent four-cylinder engine globally, drawing inspiration from their F1 car. You can now book your car, and they plan to start deliveries in April 2025.

Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance Exterior, Design
The AMG version of the C-Class differs from the regular model in a few notable ways. It features a distinctive vertical slatted grille with active shutters that adjust based on the engine’s cooling requirements. Additionally, it boasts larger front wheel arches and more aggressive bumpers. The C63 is equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels by default, but you can opt for 20-inch wheels if you prefer.

Some other cool features to check out are the big rear diffuser and the quad-tip exhaust pipes. Mercedes offers special AMG paint choices like the Matt Graphite Grey Magno that you can personalize. You also have the option to choose ceramic high-performance composite brakes instead of the regular ventilated and perforated metal brakes. The car is 1,900mm wide, 4,841mm long, and 1,458mm tall. The wheelbase is 2,875mm, which is 10mm longer than before.

Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance Interior, Features
The interior of both the AMG and standard models is similar in layout. However, the AMG version features a sleek all-black design and a distinctive AMG steering wheel. You’ll enjoy ventilated sports seats upholstered in nappa leather, carbon fiber interior accents, red ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment, a head-up display, and a high-quality 710W, 15-speaker Burmester sound system. Additionally, includes a panoramic sunroof, a central touch panel with MBUX capabilities, and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

If you’re interested, you can choose to add AMG Performance seats as an extra feature. The car also comes with standard ADAS features, 7 airbags, and a 360-degree camera. The AMG C 63 S E Performance model offers 8 AMG Dynamic Select drive modes, AMG Ride Control suspension with Adaptive Damping System, and 2.5-degree rear-axle steering.

Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance Powertrain
The AMG C 63 S E Performance boasts a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This engine delivers a solid 469 bhp and 545 Nm of torque. Teamed with a 9-speed automatic gearbox, this beast also sports an electric motor at the rear axle that can pump out an extra 201 bhp and 320 Nm. Altogether, this system packs a punch with 671 bhp of power and a peak torque of 1020 Nm. The plug-in hybrid system is equipped with a 6.1 kWh battery that allows for a pure electric range of 13 kilometers.
Mercedes mentions that the car can go from 0 to 100 kmph in only 3.4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 250 kmph. If you’re interested, you can choose to boost the top speed to 280 kmph by getting the AMG Driver’s Package for an additional cost. And The latest C 63 comes with eight different drive modes and three levels for its adaptive damping system. You can choose from Electric, Comfort, Battery Hold, Sport, Sport+, RACE, Slippery, and Individual modes, as well as Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ settings for the damping system.
