Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the high-performance Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe, priced at Rs 1.35 crore (ex-showroom). This hard-top sibling to the CLE 300 Cabriolet marks a bold entry into the Indian luxury sports coupe segment, blending aggressive AMG styling with cutting-edge technology and blistering performance.

Engine & Powertrain
At the heart of the CLE 53 Coupe lies a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, tuned by AMG to deliver 442 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. An overboost function temporarily raises torque to 600 Nm for up to 12 seconds, ensuring thrilling bursts of acceleration. The powertrain is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system that adds 22.6 bhp and 205 Nm during high-demand scenarios, enhancing both performance and efficiency.
The coupe features Mercedes-Benz’s 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission, offering seamless gear shifts and optimal traction across varied driving conditions. The AMG Dynamic Select system provides five drive modes—Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport+, and Individual—allowing drivers to tailor the experience to their preferences.

Design: Bold, Athletic, and Distinctly AMG
The CLE 53 Coupe shares the Coupe’s smooth shape. It has a sloped roof for a sportier look. AMG styling adds key features. These include the Panamericana grille. Aggressive bumpers feature a splitter and diffuser.
It also has a quad exhaust system. Gloss-black accents adorn the rear diffuser and vents. Standard 19-inch wheels are fitted. 20-inch wheels are an option. These parts make the coupe look wider and lower. They highlight its performance ability.

Interior: Luxury Meets Motorsport
The CLE 53 Coupe’s interior showcases AMG’s skilled work. It features AMG seats with red stitching. You’ll find Alcantara and carbon fiber trim. An 11.9-inch screen displays AMG graphics. A 12.3-inch screen shows driver information. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included.
The Burmester sound system provides surround sound. Front seats adjust electrically with memory. A wireless charging pad is also present. The cabin is all black. Sporty materials and advanced tech make it an engaging space.
