Mercedes-Benz has recently introduced its most powerful S-Class model in India, the new AMG S 63 E Performance, with a price of Rs 3.30 crore (ex-showroom). This version is the top-tier choice in the S-Class series, featuring a plug-in hybrid 4.0-liter V8 engine.

The electric motor generates 190 hp and 320 nm, while the combined power reaches 802 hp and 1,430 nm. Mercedes mentions that the battery technology is inspired by their Formula 1 team.
The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels through the 4Matic system. This transmission includes a unique ‘Race Start’ function that enhances acceleration, enabling the Mercedes to reach 0-100 kph in just 3.3 seconds. The S63 model offers eight different drive modes, one of which is an all-electric mode that can cover up to 33 km with a speed limit of 125 kph. Additionally, the S63 is equipped with rear-axle steering that allows for up to a 3-degree steering angle. Air suspension and active roll bars can improve how your vehicle handles bumps and corners, while you can also choose to add carbon ceramic brakes for even better performance.
