Mercedes-Benz unveils EQS SUV Celebration Edition in India with sporty AMG Line, premium tech and dual battery options starting at ₹1.34 crore.

Mercedes-Benz India has opened its 2026 playbook with the launch of the EQS SUV Celebration Edition, a more refined and feature-rich version of its flagship luxury electric SUV. This special edition is offered in two configurations — a five-seater and a seven-seater — priced at ₹1.34 crore and ₹1.48 crore (ex-showroom) respectively, bringing fresh appeal to one of India’s most desirable premium EVs.

The Celebration Edition isn’t just a cosmetic upgrade. At its heart, it adds Mercedes’ sportier AMG Line styling to the base EQS SUV 450 variant, a treatment earlier reserved only for the higher 580 trim. The AMG Line pack brings redesigned bumpers, aggressive front and rear fascias and substantial 21-inch AMG-spec wheels that give this electric luxury SUV a more athletic stance on the road — a subtle yet striking change that enhances presence without altering the SUV’s electric essence.

Both Celebration Edition variants come with a strong emphasis on comfort and convenience. Standard kit includes rear-seat ventilation, a feature that elevates passenger comfort in India’s varying climates. The SUV continues to wear Mercedes-Benz’s signature high-end equipment list including a three-screen digital setup, multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging, multi-zone climate control, and an advanced heads-up display, underlining the premium intent. Premium audio, panoramic camera views and robust safety systems round off the feature suite, making the cabin a tech-rich sanctuary for occupants.

The EQS SUV Celebration Edition retains the proven electric powertrain that has already made it one of the bestselling luxury EVs in its category in India. Both the 450 and 580 variants use a 122 kWh battery pack with a dual-motor layout, though outputs differ slightly between them. The 450 version generates around 360 bhp of power and 800 Nm of torque, delivering smooth and assured performance in a five-seat layout. The seven-seat EQS SUV 580 steps up the figures significantly, with approximately 536 bhp and 858 Nm, catering to buyers who want both performance and near-luxury SUV practicality.

Range remains competitive in the luxury EV segment, with the EQS SUV 450 claiming an MIDC range of around 820 km, while the larger 580 variant offers close to 809 km per charge under the same testing standard. These figures help reinforce the SUV’s long-distance usability, an important consideration for buyers in the premium electric space.
